The policy
We offer a free preview of your actual speech opening before you pay precisely so that this situation is rare. Read the preview. If it is not good, do not buy it.
Timing
Refund requests must be made within 7 days of purchase, which is the same as your access window.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
We process requests within one business day of receiving them.
Pro subscriptions
You can cancel a Pro subscription at any time and it will remain active until the end of the period you have paid for. If you cancel within 7 days of your first payment and have not generated any speeches, we will refund that first payment in full. Renewal charges are not automatically refunded, but if a renewal caught you by surprise, email us — we are reasonable about it.
What is not covered
Requests made more than 7 days after purchase.
Changing your mind after downloading and delivering the speech.
Dissatisfaction with a speech generated from intake answers that contained no actual memories — the free preview exists to catch this before payment.
Even then, email us. If something genuinely went wrong we would rather fix it than win an argument.

How do I request a refund?+
Email hello@toastpetal.com from the address you paid with, within 7 days of purchase, and say it did not work for you. We process refunds within one business day.
Do I have to give a reason?+
No. We may ask what went wrong so we can improve the product, but your refund is not conditional on answering.
How long does a refund take to appear?+
We issue it within one business day. Your bank typically takes a further 5 to 10 business days to show it.
Can I get a refund after my 7 days of access have ended?+
The refund window matches the access window, so requests should be made within 7 days. If your circumstances are unusual, email us anyway.
